    Joe Richard, a long time fisherman and nature/sports photographer, has a great article in the July TIDE magazine for the CCA. Met Joe and his wife Amy this summer. He had called and said he was coming from Gainesville to take pictures for an article on Kayak king fishing. He wanted to rent one of our double fishing kayaks to get out in the gulf and hopefully catch some Kings. The day ended up being too rough to go out but he did get a lot of info for his story. After a beautiful sunset, 4 friends and I headed west to our usual sand spit to watch the moon.  Within 10 minutes a thick wet fog descended on us. It was so thick we could only tell by the breeze which way we were going. After 15 minutes of this, we headed to the shoreline to regroup.  As we landed, we found we had only gone about 3/4 miles! We had some refreshments and “regrouped” for about 45 min.  We did see, for a short time, the moon trying to shine through the fog.  The fog never lifted, so we followed the shoreline back to our launch site. One of the great things about kayaking is you never know what the trip might bring, Be Prepared and Have Fun! Our next full moon paddle will be Thursday March 17, depending on weather conditions .
