After a beautiful sunset, 4 friends and I headed west to our usual sand spit to watch the moon. Within 10 minutes a thick wet fog descended on us. It was so thick we could only tell by the breeze which way we were going. After 15 minutes of this, we headed to the shoreline to regroup. As we landed, we found we had only gone about 3/4 miles!
We had some refreshments and “regrouped” for about 45 min. We did see, for a short time, the moon trying to shine through the fog. The fog never lifted, so we followed the shoreline back to our launch site.
One of the great things about kayaking is you never know what the trip might bring,
Be Prepared and Have Fun!
